Cary Sanders

Cary Sanders serves as Chief Executive Officer of JUMPSTART South Carolina. He was heavily involved with the vision to combine discipleship, employment readiness, and long-term reentry support for individuals impacted by incarceration.

Cary’s background includes pastoral ministry, community engagement, and theological scholarship. His leadership is shaped by the conviction that lasting change begins with spiritual transformation and is sustained through structure, accountability, and meaningful work. From the beginning, he has worked to build a model that supports participants both inside correctional institutions and throughout their transition back into the community.

As CEO, Cary provides strategic direction, organizational oversight, and spiritual leadership. He works to ensure that JUMPSTART remains mission-focused while growing in operational strength and community impact. His emphasis is on building systems that are both Christ-centered and sustainable.

Cary’s personal motivation for this work is grounded in 2 Corinthians 5:14–15 and the belief that Christ’s love compels faithful service. He is most encouraged by seeing individuals take responsibility for their lives, grow in faith, and step into productive roles within their families and communities.

Outside of JUMPSTART, Cary enjoys time with his wife, Ashley, and their children. He values family, teaching, and serving the local church.
